Accessibility Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
Our Commitment
AskHOA LLC is committed to making our Platform — askhoa.net and askhoa.app — accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information and services, and we work continuously to improve the accessibility of our digital experiences.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, color blindness)
- Hearing impairments
- Motor and physical disabilities
- Cognitive and neurological disabilities
What We Have Done
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility across the Platform:
Visual design:
- High contrast color palette (cream text on dark backgrounds)
- Text sized for readability at default browser settings
- Color is never the sole means of communicating information — shape, position, and labels are used alongside color
- Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
Navigation:
- All interactive elements reachable by keyboard
- Logical tab order throughout the interface
- Screen reader-compatible markup with appropriate ARIA labels and roles
- Descriptive labels on all form fields
Content:
- Plain language used throughout the interface
- Error messages are descriptive and actionable
- Loading and status changes announced to assistive technologies
Motion:
- Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionbrowser setting - No content flashes more than three times per second
Known Limitations
We are actively working to improve accessibility across all parts of the Platform. Some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Known areas under improvement include:
- Complex data tables in the audit trail view
- Some dynamically generated AI responses may not be fully optimized for screen readers
We are committed to addressing these limitations in ongoing development.
Feedback and Assistance
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of AskHOA. If you experience any barriers, find content that is not accessible, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us:
Email: [email protected]
Mail: AskHOA LLC, 505 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94111
Please describe the accessibility barrier you encountered and the assistive technology or browser you are using. We will respond within 5 business days and work to address the issue as promptly as possible.
Third-Party Content
Some content on the Platform is provided by third-party services (such as Stripe’s payment interface). While we select partners who share our commitment to accessibility, we cannot guarantee that all third-party interfaces meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. If you encounter accessibility barriers on third-party interfaces accessed through AskHOA, please contact us and we will work to find an alternative solution.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review and test our Platform regularly and incorporate accessibility improvements into each development cycle. This policy will be updated to reflect the current state of our accessibility work.
